Lorraine I have been a florist since leaving school at 15 that was 25 years ago – time does fly! I have owned bouquet since 1998 having bought the shop from my previous employers, when they decided to sell I just could not imagine leaving Cheddar, I love the village so friendly and vibrant I really didn’t want to go back to working in a town. Since taking over, myself and the girls have made many changes, a major refit making the shop brighter and more modern, we keep a close eye on latest trends and regularly go on shopping trips to Europe to bring back the latest sundries. Our flowers are bought daily from our Dutch suppliers ensuring quality fresh blooms, and as the flowers come from all over the world into the Dutch auctions you can usually be surprised at some of the more exotic blooms on offer.

Carol is our adventure girl! Once Britain’s most active female cave diver, carol still dives now and has the fortune to dive throughout some of the most beautiful places in the world, she also helped the BBC when they needed someone to adorn chain mail and lie in the water at Wookey Hole caves for hours on end filming “Merlin” you can usually find her out and about on the Mendips photographing wildlife, it’s the love of nature that really shows through in her work creating beautiful natural bouquets and arrangements. I first met Carol 25 years ago when we were both training in floristry; she then went off to university to study geology and came back to floristry when I took over the shop in 1998.
